Description

"Look from mountain and valley." The choir salto corale invites listeners and viewers to musically and scenically discover and experience the highlands of the Alps and other mountain regions. In a collage, familiar and unheard songs, legends, and other stories from the mountains are interwoven with a light installation. Well-known sounds follow one another. The ringing of bells, the echo of a call, the rustling of the wind awaken memories and are then made visible. Through the interplay of sounds, stories, and signs, traces of past times are revealed. Besides the choir, a narrator and several instrumentalists take the audience on a journey through space and time. In the emptied sacred space of the cathedral, the audience awaits a colorful interplay of choral music, stories, and light installations. With the production "Highlands," salto corale celebrates its 20th anniversary.
