As a young soldier under King Louis XIV of France, Henri LeMalheure once conquered Freiburg – but he has not yet recovered from his imminent death. Travel back with him to the Vauban-style "Fortress" and listen to his gripping reports, full of superstitions and tragic entanglements. Just silly: The spirit of his eternal rival Maurice also haunts the old fortress walls!

On their way across the remnants of Freiburg's French fortress system, brave participants will learn not only about the tragic fate of the two rivals and their "object of desire," but also much interesting information about the French period of the Breisgau metropolis, about bastions and castles, and not least about the Sun King and his connection to the city. This event tour holds many surprises.
