Description

They yodel to lure the fairies out of the bushes, and stomp to scare away the snakes of the Madrisa-Alp. High D seeks archaic energies that have fallen into oblivion. Swiss legends and myths form the first coordinates on the musical journey of the young duo. In their music, they travel to locations of legends across the Alpine land – from the caves of Vallorbe, through the basilisk in Basel, to the Hölloch in Muotathal, Schwyz. Lucas and Luca weave together sound rain and Jützli, guitar clouds and synth roars. Rugged soundscapes capture the emotions of the stories, while lyrics in dialect carry forward their tales and moral questions. Composition meets improvisation – between archaic ritual, noise, folk music, and experimental sound research. At the same time, they are shepherds of a herd of mini-amps, dancing in circles with them and transmitting vibrations into mountain valleys, rock crevices, and glacier crevasses. Punky, queer, and deeply rooted in the Alps.
