The Rheinfelden Symphony Orchestra presents a program highlighting the works of three remarkable women composers: Louise Farrenc, Ida Moberg, and Florence Price. Under conductor Clara Kost, the concert spans from French Romanticism through Nordic soundscapes to American 20th-century symphonics. The program begins with Farrenc's lively overture, followed by Moberg's atmospheric Sunrise Orchestral Suite depicting a day from dawn to dusk, and culminates with Price's groundbreaking Symphony No. 1, blending European tradition with African-American spirituals and rhythms.
