Hans Sigl – The Christmas Show

Description

After the great success last year, Hans Sigl returns this coming Advent season with a completely new program for his Christmas show. In December 2026, the actor known from the ZDF series "Der Bergdoktor" will be live in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Luxembourg with "Hans Sigl: The Christmas Show." Musically, Hans Sigl will be accompanied by extraordinary trio formations consisting of piano, double bass, and percussion. With a selection of cheerful and contemplative Christmas stories personally curated by Hans Sigl, the actor invites the audience to an atmospheric evening. Humorous texts by Heinz Erhardt and Axel Hacke, Christmas literary classics by Theodor Fontane and Charles Dickens, as well as enchanting winter fairy tales from Scandinavia, combine with musical interludes to create a varied program. Between quiet moments and winking humor, a dense, atmospheric production emerges that immerses the audience in the special mood of the Christmas season. With his present and attentive manner, Hans Sigl guides the evening and creates an immediate and unique connection with the audience. The evening is framed by familiar friends: Michael Armann, who has been at the piano for decades when Sigl gives readings, improvises with double bassist Malte Tönissen and percussionist Almuth Lustig on Christmas classics like "Jingle Bells" or "Silent Night, Holy Night." At some shows, the Frankfurt trio of Bastian Weinig, Max Jentzen, and Nicolas Hering swings through the world-famous melodies. Hans Sigl: "I love the immediate connection to the live audience. Besides my acting work for film and television, literary evenings are a true matter of the heart for me. This special atmosphere in the hall and yes, above all, the shared laughter with the audience make every evening unique for me!"
