Description
Four historic sites offer attractions for the whole family: the Vindonissa Legionary Trail and Königsfelden Abbey in Windisch, as well as the Vindonissa Museum and the City Museum in Brugg. A wide variety of activities centered on the theme “Harvest, Give Thanks, Celebrate!” invite you to join in and explore: Weave flower wreaths or bake Roman flatbread. Children can train to become brave legionnaires. Medieval music provides entertainment—and anyone who feels like it can join in the dancing! The Habsburg and Roman Festival is also a culinary journey through time: the kitchen is filled with the aroma of delicacies from the Roman era and the Middle Ages. Adults can sample Roman wine, while children stomp grapes. Special guided tours on topics such as culinary delights, the harvest festival, and daily life in antiquity and the Middle Ages will also take place at all festival locations. A free shuttle bus connects the four event venues.
