Description
This exhibition explores visual communication's influence on our daily lives, illustrating how graphic design shapes desires, stereotypes, and cultural identities. Visitors will see examples from historical posters and objects, revealing how design conveys gender roles, national identity, and exotic motifs, some of which are now considered racist. The second part demonstrates how graphic design is created, from posters and logos to typography and stamps, with interactive stations allowing visitors to try their hand at design. The exhibit highlights the complexity, creativity, and societal importance of graphic design, past, present, and future.
