Description
The sight of the white glaciers that end directly in the sea and are located in Antarctica or the Arctic is breathtaking. The many icebergs floating in the water have bizarre shapes and amaze observers. In our lecture, we look at glaciers and ice masses of the Earth and learn how they form, grow, and shrink again. We also take a look into the past when the glaciers were much larger. We round it all off with photos and videos of various glaciers around the world. Our speaker Léon Frey studied Earth sciences at ETH Zurich and is currently producing videos for teaching at ETH.

General Information
