The Swiss Castles Day is the most important event organized by the Swiss Castles Association and its members. On the first Sunday of October, a diverse program takes place in three linguistic regions of Switzerland, aimed at a wide audience, especially families. On October 4, 2026, 32 castles will host exciting and varied programs on the theme of "Travel." On the occasion of the Swiss Castles Day, the Montebello Castle will host a medieval reenactment with the Sword in the Rock. Program of the day (Entry fee from 10:00 AM) - 11:00 AM: Medieval armor combat - 11:30 AM: Juggling and Italic sword demonstration - 1:00 PM: Medieval dance - 1:30 PM: Medieval armor combat - 2:00 PM: Parade and presentation of groups + historical presentation - 2:45 PM: Medieval jousting with horses + fire-eater show - 4:30 PM: Sword demonstration - 5:00 PM: Final parade.
