The tunnel is often cool and damp – please wear appropriate clothing.
If you suffer from claustrophobia: The tunnel (length 200m, width approx. 2.5 m) has only one entrance, which must also be used as an exit. No daylight enters. However, it is illuminated and visitors are additionally given headlamps.
The floor can be damp and uneven, which poses a tripping hazard. Sturdy footwear is therefore recommended.
Entry and exit are via a ladder.
