Content You will deal with the basics of pharmacology and its effects on the human body. Using practical examples, the possible influence of pharmacotherapy on physiotherapeutic interventions is demonstrated and discussed. Using practical examples, the possible influence of pharmacotherapy on physiotherapeutic interventions is demonstrated and discussed. On the second day of the course, the influence of nutrition on physiotherapeutic interventions is deepened and discussed. Topics such as malnutrition, nutrition and wound healing, and nutritional requirements in chronic and acute diseases are discussed. With practical examples, the relevance of balanced nutrition for physiotherapeutic measures and ADL functions of patients is justified. Topics - Introduction to general pharmacology with the most important terms - Active substances and their mode of action - Pharmacotherapy in old age and interactions - Painkillers, anti-inflammatory agents, muscle relaxants - Nutritional assessment – part of the Nutrition Care Process - Malnutrition in inpatient settings - Nutrition and wound healing - Nutritional Focused Physical Examination - focus on musculature Connections This advanced training course is credited towards the CAS Advanced Acute Inpatient Physiotherapy and the Multimorbidity Module.
