Geister Duo – Concert No. 1 – Schubertiade Riehen

Description

With David Salmon and Manuel Vieillard, one of the most promising piano duos of his generation is a guest at the Schubertiade Riehen. The Geister Duo, awarded 1st prize and five special prizes at the 2021 ARD International Music Competition, understands four-hand piano playing as an independent form of chamber music.
The program spans from Brahms' poetic and dance-like waltzes op. 39 to Schubert's great Fantasy in F minor D 940 – a highlight of the repertoire for piano four hands – to Stravinsky's rhythmically captivating ballet music "Petrushka."
