Description

The trio FRI3SER, led by pianist and composer Lucca Fries based in Basel, makes music with physical force and direct emotionality. Dark, drone-like piano textures, heavy drumbeats, and distorted bass riffs develop in long tension arcs and unfold a hypnotic pull over time. The project originated from Fries' long-standing desire to combine his rhythmic piano playing with alternative rock and metal, which he has loved since his youth.
