Midsummer night at a count's country estate: In the kitchen, Miss Julie, the count's daughter, and the servant Jean meet. Two people from completely different social classes. Despite social hierarchies, Miss Julie begins a dangerous game of seduction with the already engaged servant Jean. What started as a pastime develops over the course of the night into a bitter power struggle between desire, submission, contempt, and longing.

The classic "Miss Julie" by August Strindberg shows two people on the edge of the abyss, trapped in the rigid role models of society. Both are driven by longing, pride, and desire and strive for a different life.
