The Schwoissfuass and Grachmusikoff singer Alex Köberlein has a new band and
this one has a mission: to reinterpret world hits in the original Swabian style! – It has always been suspected, always known. Most of the great hits in pop history are stolen. Plainly
copied from originally Swabian songs from the last century. Especially
American and English occupation soldiers took what they could. This gave rise to world hits like "Rebel yell," "Locomotive Breath," or "Baker Street," while the original music from the Swabian underground almost fell into oblivion.
But what was then praised as cool, almost surrealistic English-language pop lyrics, is in truth only a poor translation of the Swabian original. So the clear statement "Dein Vaddr war n harda Hond" became the more modest "Papa was a Rolling Stone" (Dad was a rolling stone).
This is now to be set right.
Alex Köberlein (voc, fl, sax), together with Ralf Trouillet (bs, voc), Joo Aiple (dr), Matze Reimann (git), Steff Hengstler (Keyb), embarks on what is probably the greatest cultural rescue operation in the Upper Swabian pop history.
Already in the first year of their existence (2023), the band founded in Rottweil can look back on remarkable successes. Mostly sold-out concerts, enthusiastic audiences, a visit to the SWR Evening Show in March, and finally an acclaimed performance at the Schleyerhalle in Stuttgart during the SWR Hit Parade closing party.

General Information

The Franz Mayer Experience presents Alex Köberlein and his Rottweilers at the former Augustinian monastery church in Oberndorf am Neckar. The band is dedicated to the mission of reinterpreting world hits in the Swabian original and is already celebrating notable successes.
