Martina Horáková and František Štípek capture moments of resistance against the logic of work, performance, and daily functioning. Martina Horáková (*1997) studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, in the painting studio 3, under the guidance of Josef Bolf, Jakub Hošek, and Nik Timková. During her studies, she completed internships at FAVU in Brno, in the studio of Vasil Artamonov and Marie Štindlová, as well as at AVU in Prague, in the studio of Milan Mikuláštík, Julius Reichel, and Aleš Zapletal. She mainly focuses on pencil and pastel drawing on canvas, complemented by airbrushing and acrylic paintings. She addresses themes such as nostalgia and adolescence, the search for motivation, and the representation of everyday life, emphasizing female experience and lived reality. Her works have been exhibited as part of the AB3 Residency (2025) and at numerous exhibitions, including at Art Space Nov in Pardubice (2025), at Emil Kolben’s villa (2025), at Špejchar in Únětice (2025), at Sibiř Gallery in Brno (2024), at Nová Perla near Krásná Lípa (2024), at Přespolní in Lubná near Polička (2023), and at the festival « 4+4 dny v pohybu » (2023). František Štípek (*1998) is a visual artist currently studying at the Art and Technology studio at UMPRUM in Prague. His work primarily expresses itself through drawing and objects.
