Description

The year is 2045: A long-closed theater serves as a retirement home for a group of former stage stars. Night after night, they sit together on the stage and relive their glorious times – It could all be so beautiful if it weren't for the caretaker who tortures her charges with children's songs to clap along and spoils the mood of the lively old folks with her lectures about aging and death. But as soon as she turns her back on them, the stage stars' zest for life awakens. With a good dose of slapstick, quirky humor, and a repertoire of immortal hits from «I Love Rock’n’Roll» to «Born To Be Wild» to «I Will Survive», a musical comedy about life, the final curtain, and the greatest hits of all time is created. Because the old fighting spirit of the Golden Generation is not yet extinguished; it is just somewhat limited by brittle bones and false teeth! The successful production «Forever Young» is based on Erik Gedeon's cult play «Ewig Jung» and was newly staged by Dominik Flaschka for the SHAKE COMPANY.
