FLORENT MARCHET · POP As part of the Voix De Fête festival Florent Marchet grew up in a theater in Berry, an environment that nurtured his sense of performance and artistic curiosity from a very young age. A pianist since childhood, he traversed classical music, jazz, and folk sessions before forging his own path, sensitive and unique, in chanson and pop.
Since his first album Gargilesse, he has established himself as one of the most inventive singer-songwriters on the French scene. Creator of worlds, he has worked on notable projects like Rio Baril, a biting chronicle of an imaginary province, or Frère Animal, a social fable. His work blends melancholy, humor, storytelling, and great musical mastery.
More of a storyteller than a singer, he claims the desire to give voice to the extras of the collective story. With Mobil Home, his seventh studio album, conceived between Tunis, Paris, and Brussels, Florent Marchet asserts a constantly decentralizing artistic freedom. With his musicians, he will present on the stage of the Point Favre a nomadic, luminous, and at times restless record, traversed by alterity and the search for a place never quite fixed.
