- Performers:SILENTIUM! ensemble The festive conclusion of the 20th edition of the festival will be filled with the warm rhythms of the Iberian Peninsula and the joy of the Spanish Renaissance. Composer Mateo Flecha the Elder was renowned as a master of the genre known as ensaladas (literally translated as "salads"). These are unique compositions that organically blend serious spiritual (Advent and Christmas) themes with secular folk songs, alternating between Spanish, Catalan, Italian, and Latin, and connecting deep polyphony with energetic dance rhythms. The resident ensemble SILENTIUM! ensemble, led by Tereza Válková, will bring the warm Spanish sun, humor, and temperament into the December chill. The stone hall of the Třebíč Castle will be filled with joyful tidings delivered with charm, period instruments, and vocal lightness.
