Festive Service with Cecilian Society and Orchestra

Description

Music plays a significant role in the service. It is an essential element of proclamation. What becomes audible shapes the liturgical event and the atmosphere of the service decisively. The interplay of word and music in the liturgy is crucial. Both are related to each other. They enter into a dialogue, complement, reinforce, and contrast each other. For this to succeed, coordination between those responsible in the areas of music and pastoral care is important. In Altdorf, we are fortunate to have many good church musicians as well as singers.
Thus, the Cecilian Society and orchestra will musically and vocally participate in the festive service on December 25 at 10:00 a.m. in the Church of St. Martin.
