Description

The Agios Choir sings parts from the German Christmas Mass by Karl Anton Karas (1906 - 1985).
The music has a pastoral character. The text from the Benedictus 'Stimmt an ihr Hirten, das Kindlein beten an' prepares us for the upcoming Christmas season. There is no record of when the pastoral mass was first performed. In Dietikon, it will probably be heard for the first time.
Bernhard Hörler complements the individual parts of Feierabendmusik with interludes on the piano. In the 3rd part, the audience will again have the opportunity to sing popular Christmas songs together with the Agios Choir.
The choir performs under the direction of Gunhard Mattes.
