Family Theater: Nils Holgersson's Wonderful Journey

Description

anda Kids presents «Nils Holgersson's Wonderful Journey» as a Swiss premiere. When Nils is enchanted by a goblin, everything suddenly changes: he becomes tiny and discovers a world he had hardly noticed before. The animals speak, the wind becomes a companion, and the solid ground beneath his feet turns into the open sky. Riding on the back of the goose Martin, Nils joins a flock of wild geese. Led by the wise Akka of Kebnekajse, they embark on an adventurous journey through vast landscapes, full of unexpected encounters and dangers. Along the way, Nils learns to listen, take responsibility, and become part of a community. anda Kids tells Selma Lagerlöf's classic children's book as a musical-poetic family theater in Swiss dialect. The stage adaptation and direction are by Stefan Camenzind, music and songs by Marius Bear. Six actors transform into a total of 17 characters: wild geese and crows, fox Smirre, eagle Gorgo, Duvet, the goblin, and of course Nils and Martin. Imaginative costumes, quick role changes, and a stage set that gradually opens up to the vastness of the Swedish landscape bring Nils' world to life. Sometimes fast and humorous, sometimes quiet and touching, «Nils Holgersson's Wonderful Journey» tells of friendship, courage, and responsibility — and how the perspective on the world changes when you experience it from a completely different point of view. Family theater for children and adults. Swiss dialect. Recommended from 6 years.
