Exhibition: Mandalas by Veeno "Energy pictures for the new era"

Description

My mandalas are haikus in pictorial language.

They revolve around the eternal questions of existence - their tones are sometimes soft, sometimes loud, sometimes delicate, sometimes powerful - the finest vibrations are hidden behind colors and shapes - their beauty unfolds in wholeness - they reflect the deep longing for peace and harmony - they are playful with the diversity of life - they are able to elicit very personal melodies and songs from the heart - without words, mandalas speak deeply to every person.

The circle with its center, which connects the mandalas of all times, is the primal symbol of wholeness.

My journey of discovery with mandalas began when I was 23 years old. I visited the first exhibition of the Swiss healer and mystic Emma Kunz at the Kunsthaus Aarau. Looking at her extraordinary mandalas, I felt like I had been struck by lightning! Amazed by the unexpected connection, I felt an irresistible urge to create mandalas too. It started with small doodles, geometric shapes and spiral structures.

A while later, over 40 years ago, existential questions led me to India. This began an inner journey that enriched me in the long term. From then on, my mandala creations emerged from a new understanding. I began to passionately express my sensitivity for the subtle in mandala form. Since these beginnings, I have known that mandalas vibrate harmoniously within themselves. In them, colors and shapes unite to form a healing whole as a reflection of our human reality. It makes me happy to share my deep connection to this art form.
