Description

Gian Andri Albertini’s (1952–2013) primary forms of expression were printmaking and drawings; for example, using an extremely soft carpenter’s pencil, he outlined figures, animal motifs, and fragments of landscapes, conveying a sense of movement and power. Only afterward, acting entirely on a moment’s inspiration, would he add vibrant accents with colored chalk or a brush—often delicately glazed, sometimes blending into one another. A few of his earliest works reveal an intense exploration of richly applied colors, which laid the foundation for Gian Andri’s artistic career at the age of 18. Exhibition through January 2, 2027
