European Heritage Days in Znojmo

Description

The annual celebration of cultural heritage opens the doors of various historical buildings, sites, and spaces to the public every September, including those that are otherwise partially or completely inaccessible. It is always accompanied by a cultural or educational program. European Heritage Days will again offer a program in Znojmo under the auspices of the South Moravian Museum and the city of Znojmo. You can look forward to the following tours: - HOUSE OF ART: STORIES OF EXHIBITIONS will take place on Thursday September 17 at 5 PM. Visitors will be guided through the exhibitions by those who were involved in their creation – PhDr. Klára Benešovská, CSc., Květoslava Poláková, and Mgr. Libor Šturc. The meeting point is at the House of Art on Masaryk Square 11. Due to limited capacity, reservation in advance is required at tel. 776 799 559 or by email. - CROSSING ZNOJMO CASTLE will offer tours of Znojmo Castle for school groups on Friday September 18 from 9 AM to 1 PM. Here too, prior reservation is required at tel. 776 799 559 or by email. - ALŠOVKA will open to the public on Saturday September 19 from 9 AM to 11:30 AM and from 12 PM to 5 PM. Visitors will have free access to the permanent exhibition of Art of Znojmo and Podyjí and the exhibition Landscape Buried in Time. - GUIDED TOUR OF ZNOJMO CASTLE AREA will take place on Friday September 25 at 4 PM. The tour will be led by the Deputy Mayor of Znojmo and historian Jiří Kacetl. The meeting point for participants is at the brewery gate. - LOUČKY MONASTERY AREA THROUGH ALL SENSES will offer an unconventional tour of one of the most significant Znojmo areas on Monday September 28. Tours will start at 12:30 PM, 1:45 PM, and 3 PM. Visitors will engage not only their sight but also other senses.
