The Final Countdown – 40th Anniversary Tour Europe celebrates 40 years of The Final Countdown. On Monday, October 12, 2026, the Swedish rock legends will perform at Sallé Metropole Lausanne for an evening that revisits the history of rock while looking to the future. The Canadian band The Damn Truth, internationally recognized for their energetic retro rock, will be the special guest of the evening. With the album The Final Countdown, Europe made history in 1986. The title track reached number one in 25 countries and remains one of the most well-known rock anthems worldwide, with over a billion views on YouTube. Four singles made it into the Top 40, and the album spent more than 60 weeks on the US Billboard charts, highlighting its enduring iconic status after four decades. The entire album was recorded at the legendary Powerplay Studios in Maur, about 50 minutes from Zurich, giving this concert a special character. Europe has planned something special for the anniversary tour: fans will experience a musical journey through the band's career. A full live performance of the album The Final Countdown, well-known hits, and for the first time, songs from the twelfth studio album to be released in 2026 are on the program.
