Esposizione di Franca D'Alfonso "Classico geometrico"

Description

It is also interesting and worthy of note that her educational journey began several years ago by attending painting courses at the Academy of Fine Arts "Aldo Galli" in Como.
After an initial period characterized by a predominantly figurative style, our artist began to feel the allure of the Historical Avant-Gardes, realizing the fundamental importance of the emotional aspect compared to the merely descriptive and contemplative. Thus, her expression gradually began to change, abandoning the objectivity of the "true" to become more intimate and introspective, more spiritual and psychological. Certainly, Franca D'Alfonso has felt the allure of Geometric Abstraction where every reference to reality is eliminated, where everything becomes form and color, and her research has thus fully turned to the geometric construction of forms, with light and color understood as almost absolute protagonists of her constructions.
