Vox Animae Vocal Ensemble

Description

Since its creation in 2006, the vocal ensemble Vox Animae brings together about twenty singers from Neuchâtel, Bern, Vaud, and Fribourg around a rarely performed a cappella repertoire in Switzerland. To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Vox Animae offers this fall a special program dedicated to contemporary composers, while continuing its exploration of a repertoire ranging from the Renaissance to the present day. The ensemble particularly favors works for double choir and pieces for 8 mixed voices. Recognized multiple times in Switzerland and on international stages — notably in Solothurn, Fribourg, Zwickau, Preveza, Kalamata, and Bratislava — Vox Animae has distinguished itself through the quality of its performances and the originality of its programs. As part of its participation in the Kalamata International Singing Competition in October, the ensemble presents several concerts, including pieces from its competition program.
