Ensemble Saltarello

Description

The Kölliker Ensemble Saltarello features both professional musicians and dedicated amateurs, with six core members playing gemshorns and recorders. Percussionist Jacques Widmer and guest musician Martin Schumann on the nyckelharpa add unique textures to the performance. Their repertoire includes Renaissance and early Baroque pieces, as well as contemporary compositions like 'Grille' and 'Frogs,' which bring fresh perspectives and smiles to audiences. The percussion is thoughtfully integrated, enhancing the vibrant sound of the wind instruments in unexpected ways.
