René Camacaro, Cello Although Franz Schubert lived only 31 years, he left behind almost a thousand works – including over 600 songs. He transformed poems into music: refined artworks full of mystery, hope, light, and darkness. In the arrangements for string quartet by Morris Wolf and René Camacaro, they now resonate as songs without words. The ENSEMBLE ORION brings these newly interpreted art songs to the stage – together with the "Hommage à Schubert" for string trio by Jean-Luc Darbellay. Author Ariane Koch complements the songs with her own texts, dealing with galloping time, poisoned mushroom risotto, and anarchists – thus connecting her own moods with the sound space of Schubert.
