Performance in French, without surtitles. Accompanied by the little goat Miss Coco, the César Award winner explores the fragile bonds between humans, plants, and animals in olive groves. The landscape becomes a metaphor for our world – between floral splendor and ruins. « (…) the olive trees themselves, weakened by the incessant storms, the lack of rain, and extreme temperatures, are falling ill at an alarming rate and withering before our eyes – despite all efforts (…) ». freely translated from French. Yet our pilgrim counters destruction with a gesture of care. By gently helping the fallen Miss Coco back up and bringing her the tenderest leaves to her bed of hay, she devises a new relationship with the world. A captivating appeal to empathy as a hopeful counterpoint to current global events. Jeanne Balibar is known from the big screen: After films by Arnaud Desplechin, Olivier Assayas, Christophe Honoré, Jacques Rivette, Raul Ruiz, or Apichatpong Weerasethakul, she was awarded the César for Best Actress in 2018 for her portrayal of the title role in Mathieu Amalric's film Barbara. At the same time, she has long been associated with the Comédie-Française and has been realizing her own projects since 2022. Additionally, Jeanne Balibar has released three albums as a singer.
