In 2027, the anniversary of the recording and release of his worldwide hit "Jailhouse Rock" and the cult film of the same name starring Elvis Presley will be celebrated for the 70th time. On this occasion, "ELVIS – The Musical," the world's most successful musical biography of the "King," will go on a major tour through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Together with Elvis impersonator Grahame Patrick and Elvis's longtime companion Ed Enoch, the successful production brings the greatest hits and the moving life story of the rock'n'roll legend back to life. Elvis Aaron Presley, born on January 8, 1935, in Tupelo, Mississippi, became the most important representative of 20th-century rock and pop culture during his unparalleled career. The year 1956 is considered the birth of the "King of Rock'n'Roll" with Presley's first hit single "Heartbreak Hotel" and his debut album "Elvis Presley." Presley gave his last concert in June 1977, shortly before he died on August 16 from a sudden heart failure at his estate Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. Yet, legends and myths still surround his death, making Presley unforgettable to this day. He still lives on for his fans—at least in their hearts. An impressive homage to the "King of Rock'n'Roll" Emotional, powerful, and captivating: At "ELVIS – The Musical," audiences can experience the idol of an entire generation up close at various stages of his life. From his first studio recording as a gift for his mother, through his beginnings with Sam Phillips at the regional label Sun Records and the first released single "That’s All Right" in 1954, the switch to the national RCA label, and the international breakthrough in 1956 with "Heartbreak Hotel," the debut album "Elvis Presley," and his manager "Colonel" Tom Parker, to the concert of the superlatives "Aloha from Hawaii" in 1973 at the Honolulu International Center Arena, which was the first concert by a solo artist broadcast via satellite in over 40 countries and achieved higher viewership in the USA than the first moon landing a few years earlier. The two-and-a-half-hour live spectacle already thrilled over a million viewers, bringing the magic of the rock'n'roll icon back to the stage and presenting Elvis Presley’s entire musical repertoire live—from gospel to blues to uninhibited rock'n'roll—and vividly recounting his life. The "best Elvis impersonator since Elvis" and the seven-piece "Las Vegas Showband" With Grahame Patrick, the homage to the "King" features the "world’s best Elvis impersonator since Elvis." When he steps into the spotlight in the world-famous white jumpsuit and other authentic costumes, one might think Elvis Presley is actually on stage. Grahame Patrick also impresses with an astonishing vocal proximity to the original, which he repeatedly demonstrates throughout the show. He is accompanied by top singers, actors, showgirls, and the seven-piece "Las Vegas Showband," creating an unforgettable musical experience—and of course, all hits are performed live: from "Love Me Tender" to "Jailhouse Rock" to "Suspicious Minds," as well as gospel songs like "Why me, Lord?" and "How Great Thou Art," whose live version was awarded a Grammy in Memphis in 1974. Elaborate choreography, scenes, and original film sequences guide through Elvis’s life and round off the show spectacularly. Companions and witnesses make the show unique. Elvis’s uniqueness is also enhanced by the inclusion of real witnesses and companions, such as Ed Enoch, leader of the legendary "The Stamps Quartet," who toured with Elvis over 1,000 times from 1971 to 1977 and performed at his funeral. He has also appeared on stage with Grahame Patrick in "ELVIS – The Musical" multiple times. The Stamps Quartet is the oldest professional gospel quartet in the United States, still active today. In 2027, Ed Enoch will again support the show live with his "Stamps." Also featured is original film and photo material from Elvis’s former tour manager and concert photographer Ed Bonja (†). He supported producer Bernhard Kurz with his Elvis photographs and recordings during the creation of the musical, sharing his insider knowledge.
