Description

Growing up in an artist's household in Vienna, she is characterized by an openness that is also reflected in her music. With her second album JUMP!, the band ventures into new sound worlds: these are songs that oscillate between catchiness and mystery, between intuition and musical finesse. On stage, the extraordinary chemistry between the four musicians becomes physical. The great trust among them creates space for freedom, genuine vulnerability – and mischief! With an incredible sensitivity to dynamics, they stretch songs, challenge, and almost provoke through deliberate silence before making it clear with unexpected force and urgency: this is a band that means business. With several awards – including a nomination for the Austrian Amadeus Music Awards (AT), the audience award at the Jazz Festival Avignon (FR), and a selection for the largest Dutch showcase festival Popronde (NL) – ELSA has built a strong international presence and regularly tours across Europe.
