Description

"Think big" – this is more than a motto for Elements of Floyd. It is a commitment. Because how else could the monumental sound cosmos of Pink Floyd be honored than with grandeur, dedication, and visionary power?

The eight-member ensemble from the Basel region has quickly risen to the top league of Swiss tribute bands. Driven by musical reverence and creative precision, their elaborate shows lead the senses to where the light is just breaking: The sound journeys through sublime spheres, rhythmic storms, and fragile vocal passages deliver the perfect Floyd feeling – sometimes rocking and powerful, sometimes ethereal and playful, often magical, and always very close to the original.

Authentic sound effects and synchronized video projections – including a round screen in the style of the legendary "Pulse" tour – create an audiovisual experience that oscillates between powerful rock energy and playful weightlessness.

The current program is dedicated to the album Wish You Were Here, which was released exactly fifty years ago – performed in full length, including the rarely played parts of Shine On You Crazy Diamond (6–9). Previous focuses were the Pulse tour – a tribute to the legendary double concert of Pink Floyd in Basel 1991 – as well as the iconic album The Dark Side of the Moon.

Jewels from The Wall, Animals, A Momentary Lapse of Reason, and The Division Bell also find their place in the repertoire. Lovers of the early works will be satisfied at times.

Two sets of 1 hour each are played with a short break in between.
