When the strange creature with the trunk nose and blue wish dots suddenly appears in the life of the pedantic Mr. Taschenbier, his well-ordered everyday life is thrown into disarray. Mr. Taschenbier, a rather anxious, overly correct person who prefers to avoid conflicts, is suddenly confronted with a roommate who is loud, direct, and completely unpredictable. Because Sams has a very special gift: it can fulfill wishes. But beware: it takes these wishes literally. And that's where the problem lies. Well-intentioned wishes often end in chaos. Much to the dismay of the strict landlady, Mrs. Rotkohl, who is already suspicious of what is happening in Mr. Taschenbier's apartment. Fearless, curious, and with disarming honesty, Sams throws itself into life. It asks uncomfortable questions, contradicts authorities, and doesn't hold back. For Mr. Taschenbier, this is initially a real challenge. But gradually he realizes that behind his cheeky facade, his unusual roommate also hides something liberating: courage, joy of life, and an invitation to grow beyond oneself. Thus, what begins as chaos turns into a journey towards more self-confidence and independence. Mr. Taschenbier learns to stand up for himself, overcome boundaries, and sometimes swim against the current. Perhaps Sams is exactly the unexpected encounter that gives his life a new direction and maybe even a little bit of happiness.
