Description

«Eimi schwümmt» is a brand new piece by actress Vivianne Mösli. It is about a kindergarten teacher who wants to tell an adult a story for children. But again and again, breathless, she loses the thread, repeatedly distracted, but open to many things that the world has to tell. There is a caretaker who gives her support (like the musician on stage), but after work, retreats into his own world. It is about a feeling of life that many people of our time know all too well: constant distraction, oscillating between hyperactivity and exhaustion. There is so much that we know, perceive, and want to share. But then the phone rings, or one thing leads to another, everything and nothing is important. Or there is no one really willing to listen. Adults are just as affected by constant overload as children – at this fairground in which we live – and swim. In the production, an actress and a multi-instrumentalist musician are on stage. The set is minimal. The actress even has to take care of the lighting herself. The text is in Bernese dialect, which is already a musical experience in itself. Text: Vivianne Mösli
