Description

The Pink Floyd tribute band echoes is one of the most renowned of its kind worldwide, carrying on the legendary legacy of the original – and has been doing so for over three decades now (!), in over 600 concerts in twelve countries and in front of tens of thousands of enthusiastic spectators. Unique across Europe. The guitar part of David Gilmour is taken on by no less than the exceptional German guitarist Dennis Hormes. It is absolutely fascinating how he makes the work of David Gilmour his own in a new and highly virtuosic way – as the central figure in the Floydian soundscapes of echoes. Dennis Hormes brings in abilities that originally distinguished Pink Floyd and perhaps have been somewhat lost or overlooked: an open mind, creativity, and a joy of improvisation – without neglecting the complexity, grandeur, and spirit of Pink Floyd. echoes take their audience on a highly emotional journey to the dark side of the moon, from the early psychedelic phase of the 60s through the legendary masterpieces “Dark Side of the Moon,” “Wish You Were Here,” and “The Wall” in the 70s, to the post-Waters era of the 80s and 90s. In addition to a comprehensive “Best of Pink Floyd,” some almost forgotten works are also brought back to life. And yet, an echoes concert is not a nostalgia trip. Rather, the band shows with immense joy in playing, attention to detail, powerful sound, and great respect for the original that the complex Pink Floyd epics are still just as fascinating and relevant today as they were at the time of their creation – timeless indeed. On 09.01.2027, the exceptional band will come to the Stadthalle in Buchen im Odenwald. A perfect start to a sonorous year, not just for rock fans!
