ECHO - Joint Concert Blockflötenorchester Belflauto & Soprabasso

Description

In this joint concert of the two recorder orchestras Belflauto & Soprabasso, the two large ensembles unite into a single, gigantic sound body: Over 70 recorder players stand together on stage and offer the audience a unique sound experience. An echo is a reverberation.
An echo is a reflection.
An echo is a memory... ... of something that has sounded before.
In this spirit, original literature from the Renaissance and Baroque periods is performed in our concert. In addition to historical repertoire and the occasional earworm, there is also a world premiere on the program:
The commissioned composition Déjà-vu for recorder orchestra and percussion was written by Raphael B. Meyer specifically for our concert project - tailored to the unique sound body of our ECHO concerts. In five movements, a simple, recurring melodic motif is processed in various styles. Always reverberating - and yet each time completely different! This concert will be performed at four locations:
07 November 2026, 5 pm, St. John's Church, Zug
08 November 2026, 5 pm, Reformed Church, Horgen
14 November 2026, 5 pm, City Church, Aarau
15 November 2026, 5 pm, Predigerkirche Basel
