If it doesn't fit, it can be returned, right? What fundamentally influences our consumption behavior on the environment and the people involved? According to research, the fashion industry causes between two and eight percent of global carbon emissions, dyeing textiles is the second-largest water polluter worldwide, and the social standards of the seamstresses are often still far from a livelihood-sustaining level. With two experts, David Hachfeld from Public Eye and Dario Grünenfelder from Muntagnard, we delve into the fashion jungle. We reveal the main problems of the fashion industry and learn more about the opaque online trade. Then it’s practical. Using the company Muntagnard as an example, we deepen the possibilities of circular economy and what sustainable fashion entails.
