Description

The DRAMENPROZESSOR is the one-year author development program for scenic writing at Theater Winkelwiese. Currently, with a new cohort, four new theater texts are being created again. At the end of November, it is halfway through the process for the four writers of the 2026/27 cohort – and thus the right time to present initial drafts of the emerging plays to an audience. In four scenic short readings, the authors Sophie Bischoff, Meret Böhni, Anna Frey, and Ianique Sägesser will test their plays for the first time with direction and actors on stage. The scenic setups still have a workshop character – yet they already hint at plots, characters, and atmospheres of the emerging worlds. The network of co-producers includes the Theater St. Gallen, Theater Neumarkt, Theater Orchester Biel Solothurn TOBS, and Theater Marie. Cooperation partners are Luminanza, the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) with the BA Theater / Directing program, and the Swiss Literature Institute Biel.
