The duo combines soundscapes, electronic elements, and atmospheric vocals with slow, epic riffs and dragging percussion elements reminiscent of a funeral march. This creates a slowly moving, massive wall of sound described as Doomgaze, Drone, Ambient Doom, and Shoegazer Metal. The band mentioned that they prefer to call their music style "Ambient Metal" or "Ambient Doom," and they also like the term "Dreamsludge." GRIN
The Heavy-Psych-Doom band GRIN establishes its unique position at the intersection of modern Sludge and Stoner-Doom Metal. The intensity of the riffs, the power of the vocals, the heaviness of the bass, and the detailed hardness of the production define their sound. With every GRIN album, one wonders again whether this band can become even heavier (or better) – and the answer is always: YES!
