DON KOSAKEN CHOR SERGE JAROFF - Festive Christmas Concert 2026

Description

The "Festive Christmas Concert 2026" is a traditional, impressive choir that will once again be a guest in Brühl for the eleventh time this year, continuing this very personal and loyal concert tradition with great joy. It will delight its audience with new voices, a new very festive Christmas concert program, and vocal power and magnificent melodies will make this guest performance an especially intense experience. The concert was made possible again through close, trusting, artistic, and organizational collaboration with the municipality of Brühl. A musical celebration of great voices, timeless melodies, and cheerful, bravura singing acrobatics awaits the audience. Through many years of guest performances, this choir formation under its artistic director WANJA HLIBKA has gained countless enthusiastic and loyal listeners everywhere. The concerts are now probably best described as "cult" and are celebrated everywhere with standing ovations. It is a top-class ensemble of academically trained Ukrainian singers. WANJA HLIBKA, the artistic director of the choir, has sung as the youngest soloist in the world-famous choir of SERGE JAROFF for many years and has used the original arrangements as the basis of his artistic work. The powerful soloists captivate their audience with their uniquely powerful, beautifully timbred voices and convey the magic and their own melancholy of their music in the highest perfection. Their extraordinary repertoire ranges from the festive songs of the Russian Orthodox Church to the ever-popular folk songs and to great classical composers. In memoriam of SERGE JAROFF, who once brought his Don Kosaken to worldwide fame. A moodful Christmas program will give the evening a particularly festive touch. There are now many different so-called Kosaken formations, but only one DON KOSAKEN CHOR SERGE JAROFF ®
