Description

Even a spacious exclusive bedroom with a large round bed can suddenly feel cramped... This is exactly the "excess demand over capacity" that occurs in the crazy comedy by the well-known English playwrights Ray Cooney and John Chapman. The editor and co-owner of a not-so-prosperous children's literature publishing house, Philip Markham, and his wife Joanna originally planned to spend the evening away from home. Therefore, Philip's business partner Henry Lodge intends to use the apartment for one of his numerous extramarital affairs... However, he is unaware that his wife and Joanna's friend Linda, who has decided to get back at Henry for his infidelity, are heading to the Markhams for the same purpose. The same bedroom is also to be used for romantic escapades by the young interior architect Spenlow, who is currently enhancing the Markham residence... This play, which is one of the peaks of the joint work of both authors, has seen many productions on English stages as well as in New York's Broadway theaters.
