‘Goldparmäne’, ‘Spartan’ or ‘Royal Short-Stem’ are their names – old apple varieties from high-stem trees, which were systematically felled from the 1950s onwards to make space for large machines and industrially cultivated land. Few of these majestic fruit trees still stand and deserve our attention, as they are invaluable for biodiversity. They provide habitat for birds, small mammals, and insects, and offer shade to livestock in the summer heat. Additionally, they bear a wealth of sweet, sour, and spicy fruits in all shapes and colors each year, which we can press into fine cider. The DIY cider press is ready; use the apples and pears provided by us or bring your own fruit. General Information
