Description

In April 2027, Simba sets out once again at KKL Luzern to find his place in the eternal cycle of life. Together with the original film music performed live by the 21st Century Orchestra & Chorus, Disney fans dive into the vastness of the African savannah with the live-action adaptation. They experience the emotional stories of the Disney classic's inhabitants about betrayal, growing up, death, and rebirth. This unique experience is enhanced by legendary soundtracks with African rhythms combined with monumental, epic melodies played and sung by over 150 performers. In the spirit of Walt Disney's pioneering spirit, the film was given a contemporary approach and an unprecedented dimension of emotion and realism in 2019 with a new visually powerful live-action version. Due to overwhelming demand in winter 2026 with a total of nine sold-out performances and around 14,000 visitors, this gripping story for young and old will be performed again in April 2027 with the Oscar-winning soundtrack by Hans Zimmer and epic hits like Elton John's «Can You Feel The Love Tonight», «Hakuna Matata», or «Circle of Life».
