Description
The Dis da litteratura, the largest and most important festival of Romansh literature, will take place from November 6 to 8, 2026, for the 35th time. After 2025, the festival will be held for the second time at the Postremise in Chur. This year's motto is 'pèr a pèr'. The organizer, the Union for Romansh Literature (ULR), has put together a diverse program. Pre-sales start on October 5, 2026. A central part of the festival is the Premi Term Bel, which will be awarded again after a one-year break. On Saturday, five selected texts by Romedi Arquint, Martina Cantieni, Claudia Cathomas, Annatina Nay, and Sidonia Pazeller will be read in the first round. A jury consisting of Anita Capaul, Marietta Cathomas, and David Truttmann will judge the texts. Additionally, there will be a public award. The moderation will be done by Ladina Caduff. As a trophy for the winning text, there will be a sponsored obelisk from the municipality of Domat. Saturday is dedicated to new editions, lectures, and artistic presentations. Bigna Guler and Janic Maskos will open the program with the literary-musical performance 'tanter'. Following that, the quadrilingual book 'Quatter linzöls ed üna taila' will be presented, in which Romansh poems are paired with texts in Dolomite, Friulian, and Italian. Nina Dazzi will present her first poetry book 'Papardets', which collects around 70 poems from three decades. Other program highlights include the bilingual poetry volume 'cësa da lat dijes tu' by Nadia Rungger as well as the novel 'Carschen uost' from the release of Imelda Coray-Monn. In the evening, David Flepp will moderate the show 'Il pèr perfect', in which the pairs Sara-Bigna Janett and Flurin Caviezel, Selina Beghetto and Jürg Gautschi, Romana Ganzoni and Ivo Orlik (Giganto), as well as Domenic Janett and DJ Giannex will compete in a playful competition. Sunday will focus on children's and youth literature. A panel discussion will address books, writing, and the work of publishing houses. Participants will include Daniel Badraun, Fadrina Hofmann, Gabriela Holderegger, and Karin Kohler. Following that, there will be two offerings for children: La Lia Rumantscha and illustrator Cilgia Zangger will present a new children's dictionary in a workshop. Additionally, Michel Decurtins, Karin Kohler, and Olivia Spinatsch will present the new children's book 'Il chastè magic' by Viola Cadruvi in a combination of scenic reading and auditory play. The festival will conclude with the award of the Premi Term Bel and a festive aperitif. More information can be found on the website and social media.
