For children aged 5 and above; 50 minutes. Telling the Christmas story to children of today? Does it still make sense...?
But yes! After all, we celebrate Christmas every year. The story of the child in the manger has become part of our culture, symbolizing the light that people long for during the dark time of the year.
We retell the Christmas story using puppet theater: The book becomes a stage, the narrator takes the figures out of the book and makes the familiar images come alive:
"And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus..."
