Description
For the spring concert of the series «The Four Seasons – A Different Take», the Festival Strings Lucerne Chamber Players welcome pianist Benjamin Engeli to a program that brings spring to life twice over: as a season and in the name of the composer Carl Frühling. Clarinet, cello, and piano combine to form one of the most colorful and charming ensembles in chamber music. At the center is the rarely performed Trio op. 40 by Carl Frühling – a work of surprising melodic richness, finely nuanced tonal colors, and great expressiveness, living up to the imaginative name of its composer. Opposite it stands a masterpiece by Johannes Brahms, where depth, warmth, and chamber music intensity condense in an unmistakable way. Thus, two very different but equally fascinating sound worlds enter into an exciting dialogue. A concert full of lyricism, colors, and discoveries – and a musical spring that radiates far beyond the season. PARTICIPANTS Benjamin Engeli, piano
