Beggar monks and city history The Beggar monks had big plans for their church: they built the tall choir and wanted to replace the entire church. But things turned out differently. They were expelled from Zurich and, upon their return decades later, could only continue building modestly. On this tour, we follow the traces of the Predigerkirche. We discover not only the oldest church windows but also experience a surprise high up in the choir: we encounter fake church windows.
