Description

«The Mirror of the Powerful» – about leaders with a fall and dictators who dabble. After «Breakfast with Shakespeare» and «Breakfast with Fritz and Max», the third act of the popular theater matinee with Matthias Wipf, Jens Lampater, and Special Guests follows. Productions from the schedule are enriched with new perspectives and complemented with enlightening and amusing historical finds – and this time also with a touch of Monty Python. In the 2026/27 season, Wipf & Lampater do not focus on a specific historical era but on the genre of comedy in the broadest sense – from Shakespeare to Feydeau, from Charlie Chaplin to Mike Müller. What must happen on stage above so that we laugh down in the audience? Is there good and bad humor? And are there jokes that age better than others?
